Strengthening Thailand's Electric Vehicle Ecosystem

Bangkok, 24 March 2566; NETA Auto (Thailand) Limited joined hands with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) to build confidence among electric vehicle users in the country through strategic collaboration to develop electric vehicle charging stations and EV platform. The signing ceremony took place at NETA's booth on 20th March during the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show, attended by Mr. Wang Chengjie, Vice President of Hozon New Energy Sales Co., Ltd. and Managing Director of NETA Auto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Mr. Bao Zhuangfei, General Manager, NETA Auto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and Mr. Warit Rattanachuen, Assistant Governor for Research, Innovation, and Business Development of EGAT, along with executives from both companies.
Through this strategic partnership, NETA and EGAT will collaborate in various areas. With EGAT having developed electric vehicle charging stations under the name ‘EleX by EGAT,’ which can support NETA's electric vehicles. Currently, there are more than 104 EleX by EGAT charging stations and partner stations within the EleXA network nationwide, with the goal to expand to over 150 stations by the end of 2023.
This expansion will provide greater confidence and convenience for all NETA customers, allowing them to travel across the country with ease and confidence. Additionally, NETA is planning to study and develop the ‘NETA Application,’ a mobile app that facilitates charging stations search. The app will enable seamless charging station information sharing between EGAT and NETA platforms to enhance EV users’ convenience. Moreover, the app will provide prospective users with knowledge and memorable activities such as providing Charging Credit to NETA customers.
“The collaboration with EGAT which is the organization that is responsible for ensuring Thailand's electric power stability and promotes EV adoption will allow us to drive knowledge exchange in various dimensions. This partnership will facilitate data sharing that benefits NETA and EGAT and play a vital role in supporting and boosting confidence among EV users as well as strengthen Thailand's electric vehicle ecosystem," said Mr. Wang Chengjie.
